How much does it cost to advertise on a website?

It depends on how the ad is sold. Large publishers and ad networks often charge by the thousand impressions or by the click, with prices set by auction, so a month of website advertising can cost anything from a few dollars to thousands. With BannerPromote, the banner ad cost per month is simply the placement price: $10 for 30 days, with nothing else to pay.

How banner ads are usually priced

Most ad networks sell banner ads in one of three ways. With CPM (cost per thousand impressions) you pay for every thousand times your ad is shown. With CPC (cost per click) you pay each time someone clicks. Both usually involve bidding against other advertisers, so the final cost of a campaign is hard to predict.

BannerPromote uses flat-rate pricing instead: you pay one fixed price for a fixed run. You know the total cost before you start, and it never goes up because another advertiser outbid you. That makes it a simple, low-risk way to test banner advertising or run a steady campaign on a small budget.

Which size gives the best value?

Because every size costs the same, choose by where you want to be seen. The 300×250 medium rectangle fits every screen, the 728×90 leaderboard is the first thing desktop visitors see, and the 300×600 half page gives your design the most room. Many advertisers run two sizes side by side to compare results. The banner ad size guide explains each one.
